Defense of 2nd Amendment

“A strong body makes the mind strong. As to the species of exercises, I advise the gun. While this gives moderate exercise to the body, it gives boldness, enterprise and independence to the mind. Games played with the ball, and others of that nature, are too violent for the body and stamp no character on the mind. Let your gun, therefore, be the constant companion of your walks.”  Thomas Jefferson to Peter Carr, 1785.

Here are some of the many, positive news items in reaction to the Obama Administration Assault on our God-given Right to Self-Defense guaranteed by the Second Amendment to the Constitution of the United States.

On Breitbart Big Government:
Kerry Picket, 15 Feb 2013
“Six gun companies have announced plans to stop selling any of their products to any government agency in states that severely limit the rights of private gun ownership.

“…the companies–composed of firearm manufacturers, gunsmiths, and sporting goods retailers…

“Their various statements emphasize that such laws create a class of government employees with rights and a class of citizens without rights. Thus, they refuse to aid the enforcement of such inequality….”  http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2013/02/15/Gun-Companies-To-State-Governments-With-Strict-Gun-Laws-No-Guns-For-You

Former Secret Service Agent, Daniel Bongino, recent candidate for the U. S. Senate from Maryland, is one of the many Constitutional Conservatives rising to take a stand in the Battle for Our Liberty, Under God!  The first link includes the video provided below, of his speech at a “Guns Across America Rally” in Annapolis, Maryland, on January 19, 2013.  He begins with, “There’s no such thing as Gun Control.  Don’t co-opt their language.  There’s only People Control, and I can prove it to you.”

The second link is to his background, but the video is no longer there.  The other two pages on the site are a blog and “issues.

The third link takes you to a blog the 16-year, Former Secret Service Agent, wrote, in answer to the Maryland governor’s plan to limit bullets in gun magazines.  The same mentality that produced New York’s new law limiting magazines to seven bullets.

The blog appeared on “WATCHDOGWIRE”, on January 22, 2013.  Here is an excerpt, with the link:

Maryland Governor’s New Proposal Targets Bullet Limits

An Outlook from a Former Secret Service Agent

I remember from my childhood a song lyric that read, “Once you trade magic for fact there are no trade-backs.”  Have we now entered a point in our political evolution where the reverse has happened and we are now trading fact for magic? In my home state of Maryland, a state where a Democratic super-majority in the state legislature and a Democratic governor have unfettered political control, law-making is seemingly guided by an allegiance to magic.  I want to highlight a new proposal on Governor O’Malley’s agenda: a gun-control measure in the form of a bullet limit regulation on magazines….

…I single out magazine size because in my sixteen-years-plus of experience with firearms as a Secret Service agent, I have never come into contact with a criminal who felt that magazine regulations on the number of permissible bullets was a barrier to him; it is only the legal gun-owner who now is limited in his ability to defend himself….

Last, but, assuredly NOT least, is the link to an excellent Power Point Presentation by John Santanen, in support of Liberty, the Second Amendment and our Right to Self-Defense.  After a rousing rendition of The Battle Hymn of the Republic, in the ensuing silence, the presentation speaks volumes!!!

Please watch for more, positive updates, as America awakens to say, “NO MORE!”

“Are we at last brought to such humiliating and debasing degradation, that we cannot be trusted with arms for our defense? Where is the difference between having our arms in possession and under our direction and having them under the management of Congress? If our defense be the real object of having those arms, in whose hands can they be trusted with more propriety, or equal safety to us, as in our own hands?”  Patrick Henry, American Patriot, Founding Father
